Managing Trustee

Founder of Vision Foundation of India and an ophthalmologist by training, Dr Kothari has led VFI’s mission since 1993 with a clear focus on reducing avoidable blindness and expanding access to quality eye care. He is also associated with the Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre, bringing clinical credibility and long-term sector experience to VFI’s strategy and programmes.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A strategic health leader with 25+ years across South and Central Asia, Dr. Chakravarty has led partnerships, policy, and health systems grants. He is a three-time USAID Chief of Party, published researcher, and holds public health qualifications from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Mr. Anshuman Mangalam
Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)

An engineer with an MBA in Marketing and 19+ years’ experience, Mr. Anshuman Mangalam leads sustainability, donor relations, strategic collaborations, and organisational growth at Vision Foundation of India, driving impactful partnerships and long-term sustainability initiatives.

Chief Financial and Compliance Officer (CFO)

A commerce graduate, he has been with Vision Foundation of India for over two decades and has been anchoring financial management and compliance systems across programmes.

Mr. Pratish Srivastav
Senior Manager – Programmes

Pratish is a community eye health and programme management professional with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring large-scale eye care initiatives. His work spans community outreach, refractive error and paediatric eye health programmes, cataract and surgical services, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and donor-supported projects. He brings strong expertise in programme strategy, monitoring and evaluation, partnerships, and strengthening service-delivery systems to improve equitable access to quality eye care for underserved communities.

Ms. Keerthi Balakrishna
Senior Manager – Documentation

Keerthi is the Senior Manager at Vision Foundation of India, where she leads the documentation team. With 14 years of experience in CSR and project management, Keerthi has played a key role in project implementation and due diligence. A graduate of the College of Social Work, Keerthi is passionate about children’s welfare. Outside work, Keerthi enjoys travelling.

Vitreo Retina Consultant

A FICO-certified retina specialist with training from Aravind Eye Hospital, specialising in advanced retinal care, surgical treatments, and vision restoration, with expertise in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and vitreoretinal diseases.

Dr. Tanvi Ganatra
Cornea Consultant

A consultant ophthalmologist with over six years of experience, holding MS Ophthalmology, DNB, FICO, and a Fellowship in Medical Retina, specialising in cornea, cataract, advanced corneal surgeries, and evidence-based ophthalmic care.
