Managing Trustee

Founder of Vision Foundation of India and an ophthalmologist by training, Dr Kothari has led VFI’s mission since 1993 with a clear focus on reducing avoidable blindness and expanding access to quality eye care. He is also associated with the Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre, bringing clinical credibility and long-term sector experience to VFI’s strategy and programmes.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A strategic health leader with 25+ years across South and Central Asia, Dr. Chakravarty has led partnerships, policy, and health systems grants. He is a three-time USAID Chief of Party, published researcher, and holds public health qualifications from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO)

An engineer with an MBA in Marketing and 19+ years’ experience, Mr. Anshuman Mangalam leads sustainability, donor relations, strategic collaborations, and organisational growth at Vision Foundation of India, driving impactful partnerships and long-term sustainability initiatives.

Chief Financial and Compliance Officer (CFO)

A commerce graduate, he has been with Vision Foundation of India for over two decades and has been anchoring financial management and compliance systems across programmes.

Dr. Raman Nair
Project Manager

Raman, a Dentist and public health specialist, has extensive experience working on projects like COVID-19, psychosocial programs, vaccine initiatives, disaster resiliency, reproductive maternal child health and nutrition and public health eye care for the marginalized population in the country.

Vitreo Retina Consultant

A FICO-certified retina specialist with training from Aravind Eye Hospital, specialising in advanced retinal care, surgical treatments, and vision restoration, with expertise in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and vitreoretinal diseases.

Dr. Tanvi Ganatra
Cornea Consultant

A consultant ophthalmologist with over six years of experience, holding MS Ophthalmology, DNB, FICO, and a Fellowship in Medical Retina, specialising in cornea, cataract, advanced corneal surgeries, and evidence-based ophthalmic care.
